The three sons of Hamon aux Dents were reconciled with duke William and gained accordingly. Hamon, the first son, became William's dapifer in England, a very powerful position, Richard became the count de Granville, and Robert Fitz-Hamon became baron of Creuilly and Thorigny in Normandy. Robert's daughter had a natural son by king Henry I of England who became the count of Gloucester.
